Typephoon
Novembris leidis aset tüpograafia-teemaline näitus. Näituse tutvustus:
The typeface structure, stroke style and the formal aesthetics of the written script have communicated the characteristics and connotations of certain ethnic groups since time immemorial. With the digital age development and the speedy transmissions of the computer and internet, typography rich with local characteristics has become a high-profile aesthetic topic in the contemporary global cultural scene.
The name for this year’s “Typephoon" Typographic Installation Exhibition. its name from the tropical “typhoon” unique to the Asia-Pacific region. The exhibition includes a series of guest typographical artists, cartoons, installation art, alphabetical meals, workshops, documentaries and talks for your appreciation; the curatorial theme based on the most simply constituted of visual elements – “type” – thus taking us on a diving expedition into the unexplored depths of the relations between visual awareness and cultural significations.

Iidse luukirja illustratsioon
Vahvli ruudustikust inspireeritud font oli väga muljetavaldav. Mõne hiina või jaapani fondi kujundamine on märksa aeganõudvam, kui ladina tähtede disainimine!
Lõbus installatsioon: igal klahvil oli hiinakeelne sõna, mis iseloomustas mõnda häälitsust ja klahvi vajutades tuli kuuldavale vastav heli, nt konna krooks :)
